Neck Reset and Refinish
This vintage 1958 Gibson ES-335 was barely a guitar when it arrived at our shop. The customer had found it in pieces in an old barn and sent it down to us to be made right. The headstock was badly cracked and the neck angle was too shallow. After securing the headstock crack, we needed to correct the neck angle to allow for a useful action and proper string tension. By creating a series of angled shims, we were able to adjust the pitch of the neck without compromising a solid neck / body joint. After the repair work was completed, we went with a Blonde finish and headstock stinger.
